Operating from the renowned design-house, MIRRAD, Tom has masterminded visual marvels for a plethora of groundbreaking artists. His portfolio boasts collaborations with iconic names such as Thirty Seconds to Mars, The Amazons, Zeds Dead, John Grant, Karnivool, and internationally acclaimed Bring Me the Horizon.
Tom's foray into lighting commenced at the Bristol Hippodrome, following a commendable graduation from Filton College where he secured a triple distinction National Diploma in Technical Theatre. His prowess didn't go unnoticed. The production maestros from the legendary Bill Kenwright Ltd swiftly recognized his potential, leading to pivotal roles as Chief Electrician and Re-Lighting for renowned shows like Cabaret, Evita, and Blood Brothers, both in the UK and on international stages.
His exceptional work at the O2 Academy Bristol propelled him into the vibrant world of music and concert touring. The summer of 2012 saw him touring with the talented Katy B. Subsequently, he garnered Lighting Designer and Director accolades for his work with diverse artists such as Saint Etienne, Django Django, Palma Violets, Jessie Ware, and The Family Rain. His brilliance shone through when he clinched the Knight Of Illumination sword for his collaboration with Anna Calvi & The London Heritage Orchestra.
As an established creative force, Tom furthered his legacy by crafting production, scenic, and lighting designs for industry giants like The Hunna, Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes, Coasts, and Bullet For My Valentine. His prowess was again acknowledged with a second Knight Of Illumination award for the mesmerising Nick Mulvey’s Wake Up Now tour.
In 2020, Tom's excellence was spotlighted by Total Production International magazine, as he was shortlisted for the Lighting Designer of the Year. The following year, in 2021, he clinched the prestigious peer-reviewed TPi Magazine Lighting Designer of the Year award.
